Palacete Cascais is an elegant and luxurious rental manor house located on the stunning coastal line between Guincho and Cascais near Lisbon. Fully staffed including cooking and concierge services and available for private holiday rentals for up to 14 guests, it has sea front views and a private pool, whilst its location is ideal for those seeking a luxurious villa in a Mediterranean climate, yet also looking for more than just a beach holiday. The golden triangle region of Cascais, Estoril and Sintra on Portugal’s west coast offers a number excellent amenities and charming attractions, located only 30 minutes away from Lisbon and its international airport.

Built in the 1920’s and retaining the original style and splendour emblematic of its era, this exceptional holiday villa has recently been restored to a serve up a combination of high standard rental accommodation with old world charm, sitting within a totally private ,000 sq metres of grounds facing the Atlantic. The villa has air-conditioning as well as central heating and is fitted with Wi-Fi. A solid central wooden staircase connects all the floors, the original wood panelling features in many of the rooms whilst the sitting room, terraces and the bedrooms (except two) all benefit from sea views. A swimming pool at the rear is surrounded by a lawned garden, and there are also billiards and a table tennis for guest’s enjoyment.

Throughout World War II and as the political map changed Europe, Portugal remained neutral and became a well-known gateway out of the continent. The Lisbon coast then, attracted spies and refugees alike becoming a hot spot of political intrigue as well as a temporary home to much of Europe’s exiled royalty – King Humberto II of Italy used to live right next door!

From Palacete Cascais you can cycle to spectacular Guincho beach passing the extraordinary Boca do Inferno cove, a breath-taking natural wonder with waves crashing against the rocks; whilst walking the opposite way to the center of Cascais ( mins) there some stunning ancient palatial homes to admire. Once a quiet fishing village, Cascais is now a cosmopolitan resort with museums and a cultural centre plus narrow streets to meander through, full of shops and restaurants to choose from. Or you can walk along the seaside promenade to palm fringed and sophisticated Estoril and beyond. This is where British intelligence officer Ian Flemming was based in 1941, frequenting the Casino (still very much part of the scene) and enjoying a martini or two – an experience that would later inspire him to write the fictional OO7 spy stories. Last but not least, the romantic hilltop town and World Heritage site of Sintra with its lush vegetation and enchanting palaces and castles, should not to be missed.

The area also has a choice selection of leisure activities such as the world-class marina at Cascais, several 18-hole golf courses, tennis clubs, equestrian centers and spectacular beaches with an array of water sports including sailing, water skiing, scuba diving, paddle surfing and surfing.


Please note – There are unprotected drops at garden level and near the pool, so toddlers must be supervised. However, pool area can be fenced out on request, for the safety of young children.



LOWER GROUND FLOOR – Bedroom with en-suite bathroom (garden view) opening directly onto the garden (ideal for teenagers or nanny).
GROUND FLOOR – Entrance hall and WC. Double area sitting room and with glass walls/doorsfor enjoying the sea views, opening onto a semi-covered decked dining terrace. Fully equipped kitchen with direct access to sitting room and dining room. Dining room also opening on to sitting room and dining terrace. Bedroom (garden view), shower bathroom and office (ocean view) – this wing is ideal for a couple with young children.
UPPER FLOOR – Open plan (landing) TV room. The extremely spacious master bedroom suite, has a dressing room and bathroom with separate shower and a fantastic covered, ocean-front balcony. Two bedrooms each with en-suite bathroom; one of which opens onto a covered, ocean-front balcony. Extra bedroom and shower bathroom (not en-suite).
LOFT – Spacious bedroom with low ceiling areas and en-suite shower bathroom.



English Speaking Manager – will meet & greet clients on arrival at the property as well as make restaurant reservations and book local activities as required by clients.
Resident Staff – to clean and maintaining the property, grounds and swimming pool are included in the rental.
Cooking Service – this service is a compulsory extra and includes food shopping, preparing, serving and clearing up meals a day (breakfast + course lunch or dinner, with / bottle local wine p/adult or soft drinks for children). The cost is calculated on the basis of €50 p/person p/day, with children under 10 going free; a 50% deposit paid is required on arrival at the property over and above the security deposit. A list of menu choices for clients to choose from is available on request and clients should advise their choice at least day in advance. Light lunches or picnics are available on request and quoted separately.
Basic Items – are also included for the duration of the rental such as charcoal for barbecue use, guest soaps and lavatory paper, plus essential cleaning products such as washing up liquid, dishwasher and washing machine detergents, spare electrical bulbs, candles and matches.
Personal Laundry Service and Ironing – on request & charged extra.
Baby Sitter & Airport Transfers – on request & charged extra.
Private Sailing Yacht Hire – on request & charged extra.



Praia do Guincho (beach) – minutes drive / 20 minutes bicycle ride

Flexible change-over days; check-in after 4pm & check-out before 10 am; all the bedrooms can be made into 1 double bed or 2 twin beds; bed linen & bathroom towels are changed every 3-4 days; hairdryers supplied in every bathroom; pool towels supplied; baby cot with bed linen/high chair on request & free of charge; air-conditioning & central heating included if required; fully equipped kitchen with central island work station, American fridge/freezer, microwave, electric/gas hob, 2 electrical ovens, kettle, 2 coffee machines (incl Nespresso) & juice maker; wide screen cable TV, DVD player and music system in sitting room; extra TV, DVD player, music system & Nintendo in the upper floor TV room; telephone/fax on request; Wi-Fi included free of charge; swimming pool (12 x 6 metres x 0.5 metres shallow x 1.5 metres deep) with stepladder; the pool area can be fenced out on request for the safety of young children; minimum 14 sun loungers & various sun umbrellas available for client use; bicycles available for client use as well as table tennis & billiards.
